We're standing by with our hydrogen peroxide, bandaids, and tissues!!

Luckily we didn't need those and the knives made it back to the kitchen bloodless!!

Another year with all of our fingers which is ideal  YIPPEE!!

Savannah tried to keep a smile even though it felt like her face would crack cuz' it was soooooooooo cold!!

This is us on the sternwheeler from Belpre, Ohio to Blennerhasset Island.  We weathered the weather and rode outside.  Savvy is sporting her new camoflage hat that Grandpa gave her -- Thanks a lot Grandpa!!!!!

We were having a nice peaceful ride until.......................

Need I say more?

LOL - When the Captain handed the wheel over to Savannah he said to turn a little to the left - she did and the wheel caught and spun about 10 times -- the boat was headed for the shore!!

He helped her correct it and we were back afloat.

We took a wagon ride around the island with a wonderful tour guide named Maxine - smoky voice, loud voice, country as they come.

It was so cold that the people that work there even had a nice fire going to try and stay warm.

Elkins West Virginia - boy oh boy what a beautiful place!

Savannah survived the twisty-turny country roads by sleeping a lot.

The best part of Elkins may have been this......

If you're reading this you probably already know what a pepperoni roll is.  It takes the "almost" out of Almost Heaven West Virginia. 


How pathetic, right! So much excitement over food but they are melt-in-your-mouth, slap-it-on-your-hips, worth-every-calorie, savor-every-morsel scrumptious!!  I'm a foodie, she's a foodie, he's a foodie, we're all foodies, wouldn't you like to be a foodie too!

It's October 23rd!!  Halloween is just 8 short days away............I can't explain why but I have serious doubts about this little sucker being ready to carve.  Honestly it looks more like something I want to make zuccini bread out of.

This is his sister and she's not ready either.  Luckily my brilliant son solved the problem.........

Mama - we'll just paint them.  So, that's what we'll do, we'll have what looks like painted zuccini on our porch to greet the greedy candy beggers! 

The candy is free - what do they expect!!?
